Goodbye Nana

On Wednesday 4th February 2009 we laid my dear Nana Sloan (Phyllis Maud Sloan) to rest in Collinsville.  She had been fighting a long and endless battle with dementia. She was a strong and intelligent women before this ugly disease took her mind away. I hate this disease, it has no cure and took my great grandmother away from us last year as well. My Nana was a awesome cook, avid gardener and loved to read. We will miss her dearly and not a day has gone by that I don't think of her and shed a tear. I love you Nan and I know you'll always be looking after me from up above with your beautiful wings to carry you everywhere. I look forward to the day when we will meet again and you will greet me with a big hug, a good cup of tea and a big batch of your jam drop biscuits. xxx Kim
